This Public service centre in Armadale needed urgent carpark modifications to adjust for the COVID situation and expected heightened traffic. Below are various before and after photos of sections of brick paved traffic islands which had to be removed and asphalted to allow for modified emergency vehicle use. The first two photos show a severely cracked section of a crossover to a commercial property in Bentley. Sand was re-levelled to allow for a gentle water discharge fall. The owners of this Osborne Park showroom warehouse were concerned about a trip hazard in front of the building. We sawcut the proposed edge of the ramp to be able to tie the new asphalt/hotmix ramp flush into the neighbouring surfaces. The trip hazard has now been removed as their is no longer a lip from the asphalt/hotmix carpark to the concrete landing. The owner of this badly worn carpark for residential apartments which has been patched on many occasions decided to finally resurface the area with a bitumen tack and 25mm thick layer of black 7mm granite black asphalt/hotmix.
