This Public service centre in Armadale needed urgent carpark modifications to adjust for the COVID situation and expected heightened traffic. Below are various before and after photos of sections of brick paved traffic islands which had to be removed and asphalted to allow for modified emergency vehicle use. A couple of the areas were to be used immediately by heavy vehicles and hence were cooled down with water and covered with sand to reduce damage to the newly laid surface

Northbridge - carpark - commercial - resurface

Part of the concrete kerb had broken away and has been removed and the sealed surface broke through creating a hazardous large pothole. Bentley - patching - crossover

The first two photos show a severely cracked section of a crossover to a commercial property in Bentley. The damaged section of asphalt was cut out and removed and the existing base re-rolled and water-bound. The water pipe burst overnight and these photos show the site on arrival after the Water Authority had arrived and cordoned off the area. Gosnells - hardstand storage area - containers - 600m²

Below are photos of an area earmarked for construction of a hardstand surface for container storage. Grass was removed and spread adjacent to the work site. Sand was re-levelled to allow for a gentle water discharge fall. Osborne Park - commercial - ramp - repair - safety

The owners of this Osborne Park showroom warehouse were concerned about a trip hazard in front of the building. We sawcut the proposed edge of the ramp to be able to tie the new asphalt/hotmix ramp flush into the neighbouring surfaces. The trip hazard has now been removed as their is no longer a lip from the asphalt/hotmix carpark to the concrete landing.
