Girrawheen - carpark - resurface - linemarking

Below are photos taken a few days prior to works starting at a site in Girrawheen. As is obvious this 2613m² carpark, driveways, and crossovers are heavily potholed and worn. We have been contracted to resurface the entire area. Below are 3 photos of the works underway. Works start with areas adjacent to flush surfaces (soakwells, concrete paths, ramps etc.,) being cut out and removed so once the 30mm thick new asphalt/hotmix is laid the surrounding surfaces remain flush. Rockingham - carpark - resurface - extension

Below are 2 photos of an old and worn driveway at the rear of housing units in the Perth suburb of Rockingham. Below are 4 photos of various stages of work where we have removed the excess fill from the proposed driveway extensions, filled the excavations with roadbase @ minimum 100mm thick and compacted and waterbound to form a hardstand surface ready for asphalting. Below is a photo of the asphalt/hotmix work in progress. Following the completion of the hardstand extensions

Kalamunda - hills - driveway - resurface - red asphalt

This residential driveway in Kalamunda was severely damaged by neighbouring trees which have now been removed. The raised sections of driveway were removed, holes prefilled with compacted roadbase and each end of the damaged section of driveway was sawcut to be able to tie in flush. The sections were further prepared by sweeping, applying a bitumen tack and resurfacing with a 25mm thick layer of 7mm red gravelpave hotmix/asphalt with 1% oxide. Four subsidences at the rear of

Osborne Park - carpark - driveway - resurface

The owner of this badly worn carpark for residential apartments which has been patched on many occasions decided to finally resurface the area with a bitumen tack and 25mm thick layer of black 7mm granite black asphalt/hotmix. Once the resurfacing of the area was completed we sprinkled a bit of sand to allow immediate use by the tenants vehicles. It will be many years/decades before this area needs any attention by way of patching or repair work. #commercial #carpark #pothole

Before and after photos of a badly worn crossover in Martin. This crossover was severely potholed from heavy truck traffic. The area was swept clean free of any loose material, weeds removed, the area tacked with a bitumen emulsion, potholes pre-filled and then a 25mm layer of 7mm granite black asphalt/hotmix was laid and compacted to form a brand new surface. Shortly after these photos were taken the hotmix surface was sprinkled with sand and made ready for immediate use. #M

Mosman Park - crossover - resurface - asphalt - hotmix

Before and after pictures of a worn out shared crossover which was partially resurfaced as only one owner chose to do so. Half of this crossover has been swept and prepared ready for resurfacing. The potholes were prefilled, the surface was tacked with a bitumen emulsion and a 25mm thick layer of asphalt/hotmix was laid and compacted with a vibrating roller to create a new crossover. The property also had the problem of rain water running on to the crossover from the road and

Mosman Park - before photos - crossover

A badly worn and potholed double crossover leading to two properties in real need of resurfacing. The following two photos show the before condition of the crossover before we resurfaced with 7mm granite black hotmix/asphalt/bitumen. Refer to the next two photos (Mosman Park - after photos - crossover - resurface) for the finished resurfaced crossover taken later on the same day. #Mosmanpark #crossover #asphalt #potholes #resurface #bitumen

Mosman Park - after photos - crossover - resurface

Once the crossover was swept clean the exposed roadbase potholes were prefilled and compacted. We laid tack and a compacted 25mm layer of 7mm granite black asphalt/hotmix/bitumen to resurface the badly worn double crossover. These photos were taken prior to sand being scattered to prevent scuffing and allowing for immediate use by traffic. As you can see join lines and texture marks can be seen but will fade very quickly as the surface oxidises and lightens up in colour to a

Bayswater - worn carpark - yard - resurface

This commercial/industrial front yard/carpark in Bayswater is severely oil damaged and paint stained. The owners decided once the oil damage has been removed to then prefill and resurface the entire area, re-align some concrete kerbing and replace some severely broken sections of kerbing. As you can see in the photos the distinct colour difference from the neighbouring section of asphalt is oil stained. Once the kerbing work was completed we heavily swept the area, removed

Bayswater - carpark - yard - partial resurface

The preparation and trimming back of edges to tie in flush has been completed and half the area has already been resurfaced with a 25mm thick layer of asphalt/hotmix/bitumen. Mosman Park - before photo - badly worn

This driveway and crossover which has red and black sections is extremely badly worn and potholed and in dire need of repair. This photo was taken on arrival and below is a photo of the same property after the area was resurfaced with black asphalt/bitumen/hotmix later on the same day. The benefit of using asphalt is that it can be laid quickly and used immediately as opposed to concrete or brick paving which require a period of time to set/settle - often a number of days. #m
