Cottesloe - patching - commercial carpark

Below are before and after photos of repair work at a commercial carpark in the Perth suburb of Cottesloe.

The first four photos show the patches when we first arrived on site. The excavations were recently patched by another Company but were breaking apart.

We excavated the patches and realised there wasn't any roadbase installed but asphalt applied straight on top of sand.

Sand was removed, base material was installed at approximately 150mm and compacted.

The areas were then patched with a bitumen tack emulsion and 25mm thick layer of 7mm granite black hotmix/asphalt.

The edges were overlapped to ensure a good seal as the existing bitumen surface is very thin and not desirable to cut.
