Lower Chittering - temporary driveway - gravel

Below are before and after photos of a very worn existing gravel 1200m² hardstand driveway which is proving difficult to drive on.

We spread approximately 150 tonnes of roadbase @ an average thickness of 50mm over the whole area.

The loose hardstand surface was then sprayed with a water truck, compacted and waterbound.

This levelled surface will now allow for much easier vehicle traffic for a year or so after which time the owner intends to have us prepare and seal the surface with a 25mm thick layer of asphalt/hotmix.
