Tree roots had caused some damage in a black asphalt carpark in Bayswater (Perth industrial commercial area) which required sawcutting of the asphalt bitumen hotmix, removal of the tree roots, then reinstatement of the bitumen. Yellow sand had been spread on the newly repaired patch before this photo was taken - sand is used to protect the newly laid surface from unsightly scuff marks and allows the carpark to be used immediately after our workcrew have finished - no drying time.
