This popular restaurant in Nedlands (Perth western suburbs) had a new grease trap installed behind the building. See previous photo for before which shows the sandy sub-base used to backfill the grease trap. We compacted this sub-base before installing a 100mm thick roadbase/gravel hardstand into the excavated area. 25mm of new granite black asphalt/hotmix/bitumen was then laid and rolled, sealing the area. This area can be driven on immediately and provides a smooth, durable surface for storage and deliveries for many years to come.
