Forrestfield - crossover - culvert drainage pipes - headwalls

Updated: Jul 2, 2023

Below are before, during and completed construction photos of a new crossover to a sub-divided rural property in Forrestfield.

The embankment which was approximately 1m high was excavated and stripped of vegetation to allow for new grades and the installation of culvert drainage pipes with headwalls.

Roadbase was delivered to site, spread, levelled, compacted and waterbound @ 150mm thick to form a hardstand surface - ready for asphalt sealing.

Below are 4 pictures of the newly finished crossover.

The basework was tacked with a bitumen emulsion and a 40mm thick layer of 10mm granite black hotmix/asphalt was laid, levelled and compacted to seal the surface.

following these photos the surface was sprinkled with sand to allow for immediate traffic use.
